Wei East prides itself on bringing herbal ingredients from the farm to your face. Each spring, we harvest the best green tea from the Lushang region of China, an area well known for its unique combination of sunshine and fog that nourishes its farms. We only harvest a few days in the morning to ensure that we capture the most anti-oxidants in our green tea ingredients for your benefit.
Science
Green tea leaves contain caffeine and polyphenols which provide excellent anti-oxidant protection against free radical damage. Tea polyphenols are among the most powerful antioxidants and play a key role in protecting skin from free radical and UV-radiation damage. These polyphenols are considered to be mainly responsible for green tea's outstanding anti-aging properties. Caffeine is responsible for green tea's anti-inflammatory and anti-irritant properties.
