Also known as the 'Chinese Apple', Pomegranate peel contains gallic acid, malic acid, ursolic acid, granatin, punicalagin and punicalin, which provide very potent antibacterial, antimicrobial, antioxidant and sterilization functions. Especially for the ingredient granatin from pomegranate rind - it is a water soluble component with antimicrobial activity that makes it even more potent.
