Wei of Color: How-To Instructions

Wei of Color allows you to easily create your own best look; by applying each product in layers you can naturally blend tones, varying the lightness and darkness of each to build a richness and depth that highlights and showcases your beauty, without any of the heaviness of traditional make-up.

With a few, quick changes in your brushstrokes, you can take your look from natural, to playful, to elegant, to dramatic. Learn how with our detailed step-by-step instructions below.

The Natural Wei

For weekends, casual days, vacation or anytime you want a fast easy makeup.
1. Brush your Concealer over shadows and lines. Tap gently to blend. 2. Blend Foundation or Illuminator all over face – or just where you want warmth and color, like cheeks, forehead and chin. 3. Brush Primer shade over lids with eye brush. Add a dot of Illuminator right above eye pupil on lid and browbone. 4. Dot on Lip Color. With clean lip brush, brush on Illuminator and blend for a soft, natural lip look.

The Playful Wei

A look that’s a little daring, a lot of fun. Great for parties.
1. Brush your Concealer over shadows and lines. Tap gently to blend. 2. Blend Foundation over face with puff or brush. 3. Sweep Primer shade from lashes to brows, so eye is halo’d with light. Layer a thin glaze of Illuminator over shadow. 4. Using eyebrow brush, feather your Color & Define shade through brows and blend. 5. Sweep Blusher under cheekbones, on chin and forehead. 6. Dot on Lip Color. Brush on Illuminator and blend.

The Elegant Wei

Polished by day, sophisticated by night.
1. Brush your Concealer over shadows and lines. Tap gently to blend. 2. Blend in Foundation. If you have 2 Foundation powders, apply lighter one on top of cheekbones, forehead, chin, temples. 3. Stroke Primer shade from lashes to brows. Layer Color & Define shade over lids only. 4. Wet brush tip and dip into the deeper pan of the Accent & Contour duo and outline eyes, top and bottom, 1-2x. 5. Add Illuminator over lids, cheekbones and browbones. 6. Feather your Color & Define shade through brows. 7. Sweep Blusher under cheekbones, on chin and forehead. 8. Dot on Lip Color. Brush on Illuminator and blend.

The Dramatic Wei

Take your look for day and transform it for night.
1. Brush your Concealer over shadows and lines. Tap gently to blend. 2. Blend in Foundation. If you have 2 Foundation powders, apply lighter one on top of cheekbones, forehead, chin, temples. 3. Stroke Primer and Color & Define shade from lashes to brows. 4. Using Accent & Contour shades, wet brush tip. Dip into darker shade and stroke along eye crease. Repeat, to outline eyes, top and bottom, 1-2x. 5. Feather your Color & Define shade through brows. 6. Sweep Blusher under cheekbones, on chin and forehead. 7. Brush Illuminator on tops of cheekbones, temples, forehead, chin. 8. Dot on Lip Color. Brush on Illuminator 1-2x. Reapply for deeper color.
